Reports & Analytics Deep-Dive

Unlock the full power of PharmNex analytics: revenue trends, top-selling SKUs, supplier performance, and custom reports.

Data is only valuable when it drives decisions. PharmNex's Reports module gives you pre-built reports for sales, inventory, purchases, GST, and custom analytics — all exportable in one click.

1

Navigating the Reports Module

Open Reports from the sidebar. Reports are grouped into Sales, Inventory, Purchases, GST, and Custom. The top bar has a global date range picker and branch selector — set these first before running any report.

Tip: Pin your most-used reports using the ★ button — they'll appear at the top of the Reports home screen.

2

Sales Reports

The Sales Summary report shows total revenue, tax collected, discounts given, and net revenue broken down by day, week, or month. Drill into any period to see individual invoices. The Top Products report ranks your highest-revenue and highest-volume SKUs.

  1. 1Sales → Sales Summary: overall revenue and trends
  2. 2Sales → Top Products: best sellers by revenue and volume
  3. 3Sales → Customer Ledger: individual customer transaction history
  4. 4Sales → Salesperson Performance: if you track sales by staff
3

Inventory Reports

Stock Valuation shows the current inventory worth at cost and MRP. Movement Report tracks every inflow and outflow per product. The ABC Analysis report classifies products into A (high value), B (medium), and C (low) — useful for prioritising reorder attention.

Tip: Run the "Dead Stock" report monthly — items with zero movement for 90+ days are tying up capital.

4

Purchase & Supplier Reports

The Supplier Ledger tracks all purchases, payments, and outstanding balances per vendor. Purchase Trend compares your buying amounts period-over-period. Use the Price Variance report to spot when suppliers quietly raise rates between orders.

5

Building a Custom Report

Navigate to Reports → Custom Reports → New Report. Choose your data source (Sales, Inventory, Purchases, or Combined), select the columns you need, apply filters, and save. Custom reports can be scheduled for automated email delivery in CSV or PDF format.

  1. 1Reports → Custom Reports → New Report
  2. 2Select data source and columns
  3. 3Apply filters (date range, branch, product category, etc.)
  4. 4Save the report with a name
  5. 5Optionally: Schedule → set frequency and recipients
